Be Involved
There are lots of ways that you can get involved in the Victoria Tunnel, from helping with one-off events and tasks, to long and short term volunteering.
Tunnel Memories
We are gathering as much information about the Victoria Tunnel as possible to help develop the tours and learning resources. We would like to hear from you if you have any first-hand experience of the Tunnel, and are happy to share memories or old photographs

Volunteer Opportunities
Our aim is to increase and widen access and enjoyment of the heritage of the Victoria Tunnel.
If you think you can help us achieve this aim, please get in touch.
By volunteering with us you will:

Get access to Newcastle’s hidden heritage, the badly-kept secret that is the Victoria Tunnel, and you will be able to share this exciting experience with a variety of inquisitive people!

Become part of a small, friendly team of like-minded volunteers who are passionate about our heritage.

Be based in the unique, lively surroundings of the Ouseburn Valley.

Be supported in developing new skills and experience to enhance your CV.

Contribute to the regeneration of the Ouseburn Valley.

Receive reimbursement for travel and other reasonable incidental costs.

If you receive welfare benefits or a Job Seeker’s Allowance, these will not be affected by volunteering with us.
