Lime Street will be pedestrianised between 10am and 7pm. Not only will this help keep everyone safer on what’s set to be a busy weekend, but we’ll also fill the street with lots of things to enjoy.

Grab a bite to eat or a delicious drink from various food traders. They’ll be parked up along Lime Street, between 51 Lime Street and Cut Bank.

Slap bang in the middle, you'll find the Ouseburn Trust's building, 51 Lime Street. Head here if you need to find first-aiders, information, or even fill up your water bottle. The event organiser team will be here. You'll also find various activities happening inside!

Circus, dancing, music & more!

On Lime Street, you'll find musical performances, circus acts, dancers, and various other activities. Have a wander through 12pm – 6pm to catch the fun.

Ouseburn Festival Presents: NARC. Fest

Ouseburn Festival collaboration with NARC. Magazine continues with another year of live free music! See the regions most exciting musicians perform across 6 Ouseburn venues – The Cluny 2, The Cumberland Arms, The Old Coal Yard, Little Buildings (all from 7pm), The Tyne Bar (from 5pm) and The Grove (from 2pm).

Performers taking part so far include Badger, bigfatbig, Big Romance, Cheap Lunch, Cortney Dixon, Crane House, Crimewave, Feeble Strength, Frolic Acid, Galaxians, Irked, Jellyskin, Look Terrified, Melanie Baker, Milk Lizards, Muckle, No Teeth, Rubber Oh, Shields, The Timewasters, Warm Digits, Vigilance State, Wormboys and more.

As always, the event is programmed in conjunction with the venues themselves, and also a handful of the region’s most exciting and finger-on-the-pulse promoters, which this year include Wandering Oak, Endless Window and Flat Four Records.

Stand-up comedy at Ouseburn Farm with Felt Nowt CIC

We’re teaming up with Felt Nowt CIC to bring you the laughs! Ouseburn Farm’s upstairs event space will feature a bill of comedians performing shows for all the family.

Boat Trips with the Newcastle Motor Boat Club | 12pm - 4pm

Take a voyage along the Tyne! Boat trips last around 20-minutes. Please note, this activity can be very popular and you may need to queue.  

Across Ouseburn Valley

The Ouseburn Market | 10am - 4pm

80+ stalls craft and maker stalls, selling everything from pottery to prints. You'll also find some food traders and live music here too!

Located in its usual site, just off Stepney Bank behind Northern Print.

Records & other cool stuff at Toffee Factory | 12pm - 4pm

A dozen local purveyors of pre-loved records, CDs, DVDs, books and clothes ply their wares over two afternoons. Saturday DJ Lee Baby Sims sells and spins the platters that matter. The Venus Beach Club take over the decks on Sunday for a swingin’ soul and rockin’ R&B al fresco afternoon dance off!

Owt Ya Like Market at Ouseburn Garden | 12pm - Late

An all-day event will offer an amazing array of items from talented artisans and craftspeople. Shop for vintage clothes, vinyl records, bespoke graphic artwork, one off illustrations, hand-crafted homeware and much much more. The market will be set to the backdrop of a killer soundtrack provided by our friends in music who will will be soundtracking the event with a selection of jazz, disco, balearic and house.

Saturday Afternoon Party People at Two by Two Brewery & Tap | 12pm – late

Open from12 with live music from 2pm – 6pm. A range of different acts will play throughout the day. Street food available all day from 'Belly of the Beast' and 'Chicken Ting'

Treasure hunt, magic willow wand & headband crafting at Flea Circus | 10am - 5pm

Join in our Ouseburn Festival treasure hunt with prizes for everyone, and come and get Festival ready at our all-natural crafting station, where you can style your own willow and flower headband, or create colourful willow wands for wizards and witches with twine and flowers. Perfect for kids and adults alike.

Pottery painting & Raku firing at the allotments behind The Cumberland Arms

Chilli Studios, a local mental health and arts charity, will be hosting Raku kiln firing demos. Drop in and pick a pre-made piece of pottery or sculpture to paint. Then watch the elemental process of Raku firing, with smoke and fire, change the colours of your own artwork! There is a range of prices from £3 upwards dependent on the size you choose.

Stepney Bank Stables Pony Party | From 11:45am

From 11.45 Stepney Bank Stables will be open for a Pony Party! There will be opportunities to meet the ponies, loads of games and activities, horse history tours and a dog show! More details coming soon...

The Find will be celebrating its 1st birthday during Ouseburn Festival. Stop in to explore the shop whilst they host henna artist Jahan Artistry and a candy floss stall!

Oceans of Kindness Walking Trail

Oceans of Kindness is an exploration of the cumulative power of words, creativity and kindness sparked by children’s imagination. Children from Christchurch Primary, Hotspur Primary and Shieldfield Youth Programme have written their own collection of ‘poems of kindness’ and then delicately adorned these onto majestic large-scale willow fish lanterns. The final gathered shoal of fish featured in a community parade and exhibition at Shieldfield Art Works, before migrating here to become part of a kindness trail as part of the Ouseburn Festival.

The Cycle Hub Cafe, where the Ouseburn meets the Tyne, with

acclaimed acoustic guitarist Michael Woods performing two sets each day on Saturday and Sunday.
